Aims & Objectives of ASF

Our aim is to enable and enhance the educational experience for underprivileged, marginalized and differently abled children by upgrading their school infrastructure and being a part of the mission of right to education for all.

We endeavour to empower students to achieve and realize their dream of gaining access to quality school and higher education.

Beyond the work done in the area of outdoor spaces and infrastructure of school buildings, we also seek to encourage children by providing scholarships to deserving students who face financial hardships. Through this initiative, we support economically disadvantaged students by providing them with financial aid and assistance to pursue their dreams and academic aspirations.

This is in addition to the existing scholarships disbursed by ASF to students pursuing their bachelor’s in law and legal studies.

ASF is also engaged in various philanthropic activities and supports benevolent causes that align with its core values.

Honouring Arjun

As an initial step in its journey, ASF took up the cause of renovating a hall in Shri Ram Welfare Society High School in Andheri (W), Mumbai. The hall has been transformed into a modern well-equipped, air-conditioned auditorium which at present is being used for social functions and cultural programmes organized by the school. The auditorium is named as the Arjun Shetty Sabhagruha.

In the same year, ASF turned its attention to the school's playground which was remodelled and revamped as the Arjun Shetty Kreedangan. It's a modern play area designed keeping children's safety in mind by providing a nurturing environment where children can play freely and interact socially.

Taking its mission further, ASF has also set up a Balavan for small children with all the necessary provisions and educational tools and equipment in Nitte Higher Elementary School at Nitte, Udupi District, Karnataka known as the Arjun Shetty Balavan.

A Heartfelt Mission

Currently, ASF is in the process of building a school specifically designed for special and differently abled children at Shakti Nagar, Mangalore. This special school will be managed in association with the Saanidhya Group of Institutions. This facility will be named as the “Saanidhya Arjun Shetty Residential School (Therapy Centre)”. It will act as a beacon of hope to fuel and further the cause of quality education and therapeutic care for these children. It will be spread across 21,000 sq. ft. with an aim to provide and secure overall development of children with special needs who deserve every opportunity to grow and flourish. This school will be completed by 2026 and is envisioned to be a place where love, care and inclusion are at the centre of every child’s learning journey and experience.

The Saanidhya Group of Institutions at present runs a residential school for 250 special children with a strength of almost 100 dedicated teaching and non-teaching faculty including special educators, caregivers, psychologists and physiotherapists who nurture, train and educate these children. The school provides a loving and caring environment with the best quality of education and skill training to ensure these children lead an independent and dignified life ahead.

Future Vision

Going forward, the focus of ASF is to better the quality of schooling experience for underprivileged, marginalized and differently abled children.

In order to achieve this, we aim to partner with many more schools and educational institutions. While doing so, we intend to provide them with modern amenities, improved infrastructure and resources needed to make good education accessible to every child.

Furthermore, we also look forward to creating more opportunities for children in the field of education by empowering young dreams, transforming lives through care and compassion and nurturing the potential of every child we meet through ASF.
